Over 10 years of experience working with children and youth. Committed and passionate about my profession and always willing to learn. Focused on teaching and methodology, to provide my students: the magic of dance.

EXPERIENCE

DANCE INSTRUCTOR | Municipal Culture Center “Cecilio Gomez Lambert”, Baracoa, Cuba

AUG 2016 – JUL 2017. Presentation of the “Rayitos de Sol” project at Municipal Festivals such as: Wood Festival, Cocoa Festival, “La Farola” Festival, Dance Creation Festival. Participation in the Provincial Casino Event (salsa dance group) obtaining Awards.

VOLUNTEER | International Humanitarian Work

OCT 2014 – JUN 2016 community cultural work in areas of extreme poverty in the Portuguesa State, Venezuela. Creation of the “Aires de mi Tierra” Dance Group and presentation of its works in areas of extreme poverty to raise the cultural and spiritual level in these areas.

DANCE INSTRUCTOR | Municipal Culture Center “Cecilio Gomez Lambert”, Baracoa, Cuba

DEC 2011 – SEP 2014. Participation in municipal and provincial festivals (children and youth), obtaining prizes such as “Best Cuban Popular Choreography” and “Best choreography at the 2nd Bolero Festival”. Support in the cultural work of several local schools and institutions. Creation of the theatrical-dance “El Bosque Encantado” and its presentation in communities. Selected best dance instructor. SEP 2009 – NOV 2011. Community cultural work in areas of difficult access in the Barinas State, Venezuela. Dance teacher in the children’s project “La Colmenita”.

SEP 2004 – AUG 2009. Creation of “Rayitos de Sol” Children’s Dance Project. Workshops of Appreciation and creation of Cuban and international dances. … if the objective of the Organization “José Martí” is summed up in a name in Baracoa, that would be: Zenny Martinez, for her dedication and talent. She has a lot of vocation and aptitude; these adjectives highlight her work. She is an excellent teacher and she is a very good dancer, many people who are professionals today have passed through her hands.

Love to dance …

Since I know Zenny, she has a bright eye when she listens to the music and she has an immense desire to put a syncopated movement on it, she is a tireless defender of the traditions of her land. She has done with her work that many children and young people love dance. She formed a project in the Jamal community that the years have passed and no one has been able to overcome it. Her mother has always supported her in all these artistic actions. It is a pity that the Baracoans cannot enjoy so much TALENT and love, what they do with excellence: dance and teach. Keep it up my friend that this is your essence and nature. Your works that I see are still for the big scene. I miss you.
